Located in the northwest corner of the United States, Washington State is a global supplier of defense, aerospace and military products, technologies and services. Businesses will find plenty of opportunities in Washington, including those in energy, biofuels, information and communication technology, unmanned systems, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced materials and avionics and navigational systems.

Approximately 2,000 business are part of the supply chain, including Boeing, Insitu, Vigor and Microsoft. The aerospace sector alone supports 1,300 companies providing a range of services and products. Boeing’s KC-46 Pegasus tankers and the Navy’s P-8 Poseidon multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft are produced in Washington as well as hundreds of unmanned and autonomous systems. The industry is supported by research facilities at two world-renowned universities, a national research laboratory and dozens of privately financed labs throughout the state.
