The University of Washington has been ranked one of the 50 most entrepreneurial schools in the country by AffordableSchools.net  The report sites the UW Center for Commercialization – CoMotion – which is a collaborative hub that supports bringing new ideas to reality.

UW researchers collaborate with partners across the university and throughout Seattle to create an environment for starting new technology companies. Their Entrepreneurs in Residence, advisory boards and mentors work side by side with UW researchers on startup projects.  The tech hub provides all stages of development assistance from equipment in a makerspace, facilitating funding from grants to seed stage investment to advice on patent and copyright concerns and every step to successfully bring innovation to the marketplace.
