International Trade Talk series created to strengthen Washington manufacturers

Commerce’s Office of Economic Development and Competitiveness (OEDC), Small Business Export Assistance (SBEA) team is launching a new webinar series, entitled International Trade Talk. The series represents a partnership with the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) and was inspired by the robust feedback of Washington businesses.

Market uncertainties caused by tariffs and a shifting supply chain landscape add complex challenges to business operations. Through the International Trade Talk series, our goal is to help local companies be nimble and competitive in both domestic and global markets. These talks will be led by subject matter experts and will focus on practical information so that participants learn useful tips to apply to your plan of action.

Our inaugural webinar will be held February 11, 10:00 a.m. to noon (PST) and is entitled Tariff strategies: A practical guide for businesses. Our speaker is Mike Allocca, a nationally recognized expert on international trade across the U.S. and a regular partner of federal agencies to stay at the forefront of trade regulations. Attendees will learn how to better manage the impact of tariffs and lower supply chain risk.
