Business legends Microsoft and Amazon Web Services pioneered cloud computing here in the northwest. Washington’s high-powered tech talent and low-cost energy have made the state a mecca for software and hardware companies of all sizes that depend on and support cloud services.

Companies like Basho that specialize in distributed computing, and tech giant HP’s cloud operations are part of the rapidly growing cloud ecosystem in Washington. These companies are taking advantage of the exceptional depth and breadth of technical expertise in the area as well as rock bottom energy rates to fuel growth.
