space-race1Private enterprise is where it’s at in the space industry these days and hundreds of firms are getting in on the ground floor with new exciting new concepts.

With space veterans like Aerojet Rocketdyne already in town and newcomers such as SpaceX opening design and development offices in the region, Washington State is fast becoming a new center for the space industry.

Part of the reason is the state’s wealth of engineering talent, the highly experienced aerospace workforce and a reputation for cooperation and collaboration across industries, especially the advanced materials, aerospace and high-tech sectors.
