A record delegation of 68 business representatives, trade experts and elected officials have started a busy week of marathon meetings and events at the 2024 Farnborough International Air Show.
The Washington delegation is headquartered at the Choose Washington Pavilion (Hall #1, Booth 1351). This year’s theme is “Leading the Way in Building a Sustainable Future,” emphasizing the state’s leadership in bringing new ideas to market that will reduce carbon emissions while taking the aerospace industry into a profitable, sustainable future.
Lt. Gov. Denny Heck and Sen. Andy Billig are leading the delegation. They are joined by 16 of Washington’s most innovative aviation and space companies, including AeroTEC, Alitheon, Connected Ops, General Plastics, Hover Inc., Industrial Machine Tool, Leading Ladies of Aerospace and Defense, Mid-Mountain Materials, National Precision, Pioneer Human Services, Seacast, Sekisui Aerospace, TLG Aerospace, US Aluminum Castings, Virutec and VT Volant. Members of Commerce’s Office of Economic Development & Competitiveness and seven other economic development organizations across the state – Economic Alliance Snohomish County, Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County, Greater Seattle Partners, Paine Field/Snohomish County Airport, Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA), Port of Moses Lake, and S3R3 Solutions – will hold round-the-clock meetings with investors, businesses and industry leaders who want to explore opportunities in the largest aerospace sector in the United States. Washington is investing heavily in sustainable fuels, electric aircraft, Industry 4.0, factory automation, uncrewed systems, advanced air mobility and commercial space.
