Waiting for the repairman to show up and then figure out why the washer doesn’t work will soon become a better customer experience. Sears has opened an office in Seattle that will be tapping into the depth of tech talent in Washington State to develop technology to streamline the home appliance repair experience. Other big retailers, like Best Buy, have also established tech centers in the state to have access to the talent and experience of the more than 313,000 technology-based workers that call Washington home.
